Once again I've been slack with the postings and I beg of your forgiveness! I have had so many topics to write about too - it's almost become like when you're in school and you procrastinate to get assignments completed and then you end up having to write three term papers in one night!! :) You get it done, but attention to detail is lacking and important blips you meant to include end up being excluded....so you end up with three "C-" term papers instead of the "A"'s you could have earned if you would have just done the papers when they were assigned, or rather when the events occurred in this instance. I'll probably start out with an outline tonight and fill in the pieces later. I'm covering three weekends in one post and I'm missing some pics that go with the last. Alas...I digress....
So our friends Kristen and Bret invited us to join them at the house the rented in Caswell Beach over Memorial Day weekend. It was totally awesome, the house was right on the beach and Kristen had us all set up so everyone was comfortable in their own rooms, including Virginia, we met some wonderful new friends, Brandon and Jennie - again - it was totally awesome all except the fever I had for 2/3 of the time we were there! The highlight of the weekend was Virginia got her first tooth!!! Oh, I'm so proud of my girl. She's growing up so quickly - I just can't believe it. I held a baby today - 3 weeks old - and it's just hard to remember her being so small.

The next weekend our friends Jenny and Jeff came to visit with their three month old, Kendall. Actually, initially they came to visit but also to attend a wedding on Saturday, only the wedding was cancelled that Friday. DRAMA!! Man, I didn't even know the bride but I was eager to hear the details of how a groom could really have done that the day before his wedding. Poor girl!!! The silver lining in all that for us(the bride will see her silver lining later when she meets her perfect groom and is so thankful she didn't marry that first jerk) was we were able to spend more time with our friends over the weekend. We had folks over on Friday and Saturday night and really just had a good-old time both nights. Sunday we went over to our friend Amy's house for a cookout where everyone honored Kendalls Raleigh Debut! :) It was so good to see everyone.

This past weekend we took our first trip up to Belews Lake with Baby V. Joe and Nichole Madden joined us as did JD and Merit Sinantis. We had a great time with these guys. I know it was a little different for them (and us) from the past because we have a little one to attend to now, but I loved every moment of it! How much fun it was to play with her in the lake and to take her on her first pontoon boat rides. She really seemed to enjoy it, even if it did almost cause her to have a heatstroke! When we weren't out on the water, we were inside the trailer visiting with Jim's parents, his brother and friends. My goodness if she knew of the times we've had up there!! Lots and lots of great memories up at Belews! I'm glad we were able to make some more this past weekend!
