BBQ Weekend!

This past weekend was deemed "BBQ weekend" for us. Jim's boss' boss' boss (did you get that?!) had his annual Pig Pickin' on Saturday. The weather could not have been any better! Jim works with a great group of folks and we really enjoyed the afternoon. I also learned that we have some "gellin'" fans out there! :) I'm so sorry that I've been slack with the updates guys! PS Jackie will have to show John the pictures of her with Virginia - she's really itchin' to have a little one of her own!

On Sunday my parents came to town (in their shiny new Prius that was a total surprise to us - now mom can scoot back and forth to Raleigh without having to dig into our inheritance for gas money! :)) and we went to another BBQ out in Holly Springs at the Carolina Brewing Company. They had their annual MS Fundraiser Bikeathon and we always attend the party they host at the brewery afterwards to celebrate Sterling and Jim's birthdays. It's such a fun event! It's great for everyone - adults AND kids. They have a band, bouncy things for the kids, a clown to make balloon animals for the kids, great food, and of course awesome beer and if you've never been, I suggest you check it our next year! Anyway it was another beautiful day, and another day that the diet went out the window! Oh well - you've gotta let it go every now and then, right?
